Free Warehouse Software For Evaluation

You can download trial/demonstration versions of Stocker WMS from this website. These trials are for evaluation purposes only. They are not time limited but have been prepared with some limitations in functionality.

Each download includes:

• Two fully configured and operational warehouses.
• Some customers, suppliers and products pre-loaded.
• Warehouse stock entered.
• A number of Goods In and Goods Out orders entered and waiting processing

Microsoft SQL Server Express Editions.

These evaluation versions of Stocker WMS require Microsoft SQL Server. If you don't have SQL Server you can install one of Microsoft's free SQL Server Express editions, either yourself or using one of PulseStar's installers which have SQL Server Express bundled. The advantage of using PulseStar's installers is they will configure SQL Server Express for Stocker. For information on installing SQL Server Express yourself refer to the external links page.

If you already have SQL Server 2005 or SQL Server 2008 installed, the Stocker installers offer the option to install either a 2005 or 2008 database. This enables you to install Stocker for the version of SQL Server you already have. However, if you prefer, you can download and install a separate 2005 instance (see below).

Microsoft SQL Server Express Edition 2005.

These demo/evaluation versions have the option to install a SQL Server 2005 database engine. To install SQL Server 2005 you must have the .Net Framework (version 2 or higher) pre-installed. Most computers will have a version of the .Net Framework already. You can determine if your computer has the .Net Farmework by inspecting installed software via the Control Panel->Add Remove Programs.

This document explains how to use the Stocker installer with SQL Server 2005. Please note if you use all the default values provided you only have one entry to make.

Windows 32 versus Windows 64

If you have a 64bit computer, and you install SQL Server Express yourself, you must install a 32bit version of SQL Server Express. Stocker's installers do not configure Stocker for 64bit SQL Server Express.
